Josh Magennis’s agent claims the attacker will not be short of offers this summer after his release from Aberdeen.
The 23-year-old is a free agent after being told he would not be offered a new contract by Dons manager Derek McInnes last week.
Magennis spent the second half of last season on loan with St Mirren but failed to score in his six month spell at St Mirren Park.
But his agent Dan Wood of the Endgame Group is confident Magennis will be a man in demand. Wood said: “We have had a number of inquiries about Josh, and it is important he goes to the right club. He would be a big asset to most teams, as there are not many attackers with Josh’s pace and power.”
Magennis has been called up for Northern Ireland’s friendlies against Uruguay and Chile, along with former Dons team-mate Niall McGinn, and is looking to make a good impression as he tries to attract a new club.
The former Don said: “It’s a shame to be leaving Aberdeen, as I have really enjoyed my time at the club, but my focus is now on performing for Northern Ireland, and testing myself against some of the world’s best players in South America. I’m looking forward to the next stage of my career, so it will be an exciting summer.”
