Aberdeen winger Jonny Hayes could make his international debut after he was named in the Republic of Ireland’s final squad for their upcoming friendlies.
Hayes was included in a 40 man provisional squad named by manager Martin O’Neill and has remained in O’Neill’s list now that the squad has been trimmed to 33 players.
Hibernian’s on-loan Celtic striker Anthony Stokes was one of the seven players to miss out.
Ireland are due to face Switzerland on Friday before taking on Slovakia on Tuesday, March 29 as they continue their preparations for Euro 2016.
