Aberdeen boss impressed with trialist striker

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has said he was impressed by 6ft 6ins attacker Harry Smith, who spent last week on trial at Pittodrie.

A number of English Championship clubs are also monitoring the former Chelsea youth, who plays for Folkestone Invicta in the Ryman League.

He added: “There wasn’t anything going to happen imminently on that one.

“It was just an opportunity to look at the big fella’.

“We have done that and we will keep monitoring his situation.

“He did absolutely fine and we enjoyed having him with us.”
