Aberdeen defender Shay Logan has been linked with a summer move to English Championship side Rotherham United.
The defender had been expected to return to England to be closer to his family when his contract expires at the end of the season but last month Dons boss Derek McInnes said he was optimistic the 28-year-old will sign up for another year at Pittodrie.
McInnes said: “We would like him to stay.
“He has such a strong connection here that he would love to stay and we are just trying to find a way to make it happen.
“We will probably get this game out of the way then we have two weeks before the next game and we will see if we can shed a bit more light in the situation.”
However, reports today suggest The Millers are looking to sign Logan on a pre-contract deal.
Rotherham got off to a poor start to this season but have lost only two of their 14 games since appointing Neil Warnock as manager and are now 10 points clear of relegation.
