The Dons have confirmed a new two-year kit sponsorship deal with Aberdeen-based Saltire Energy, extending their current agreement until 2018.
The deal follows on from a major three-year partnership, initiated in 2014, between AFC and the energy group, which specialises in oil and gas equipment.
Saltire’s logo has appeared on the front of the Dons first team, U20s and Youth Academy kits for the past two seasons and this will continue for the next campaigns. The first of which, begins on June 30.
Commenting on the continuation of the partnership, Pittodrie Vice Chairman George Yule said: “We are delighted to be able to make this positive announcement ahead of the new season. Saltire’s support has been fantastic and to be able to continue our relationship is very pleasing.
“The economic climate in and around the city is very challenging and the value of Saltire’s backing as principal sponsor certainly isn’t underestimated. We look forward to progressing the club, both on and off the pitch.”
Established in 1986, and headquartered in Portlethen near Aberdeen, Saltire is a leading supplier of state-of-the-art drilling equipment to the global energy industry.
Mike Loggie, Chief Executive of Saltire Energy added: “We’ve really enjoyed our journey with AFC, both on and off the park. In particular participating in the development of the Club, at all levels within the local community has been fantastic.
“From a business perspective, we’ve gained a widespread profile from the team’s performance nationally and within Europe. Saltire is delighted to be part of AFC’s ‘family’ and we’re looking forward to the coming season.”
