Aberdeen Football Club has today completed the signing of Callum Morris.
The defender put pen to paper on a one-year deal and will meet up with his new teammates this morning when they return for pre-season training.
Callum can play in central defence and at right back.
The 26-year-old started his career with the Newcastle United Youth Academy before moving to Scotland and joining Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish First Division in August 2012.
After two seasons at East End Park the defender moved north to join Dundee United.
Morris signed a two-year contract with the then Scottish Premiership side in June 2014 and made his debut in August that year at Pittodrie as United beat Aberdeen in the opening game of the 2014/15 season.
After two seasons at Tannadice, making close to 50 appearances, he became a free agent this summer.
Callum in the past has represented the Republic of Ireland at U19 and U21 level.

Speaking to RedTV, he said:
“I am very excited to be here and looking forward to getting started. I was pleased to get everything finalised so I could get myself ready for pre-season and I can come in and meet the boys straight away.
“I got a call from my agent to say the manager had been in touch. As soon as I heard that I had my mind set on coming up here. It is obviously a huge club with a very good squad and they showed that when they pushed Celtic all the way last season.
“What an opportunity it is for me. It is something any player would jump at the chance to be part of. I am really looking forward to the European games starting later this month.”
