Passports at the ready – the fixtures for the Europa League’s second qualifying round have finally been drawn.
And the potential line-ups will make interesting reading for Dons fans who face a trip to either Latvia or the Faroe Islands if the Pittodrie side make it through.
Waiting for them in the next round will be either FK Ventspils (Latvia) or Vikingur (Faroe Islands), with both sides finding success in their respective domestic leagues in recent seasons.
Derek McInnes’ boys will play Fola Esch of Luxembourg in the first qualifying round, with the draw in Switzerland handing Aberdeen a crucial home tie for the first game.
This will be the third year in a row Derek McInnes has led his Dons team into European competition with the club having reached the third qualifying round in their last two campaigns.
