Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has today confirmed that goalkeeper Danny Rogers will follow Aaron Lennox in leaving the club on loan.
Lennox, who has represented Australia at U23 level, joined Raith Rovers earlier this week and will spend next season with them
Now Rogers, who recently signed a new deal to remain at the club until 2018, has been told he too will be sent out for first team experience.
He played a crucial role in Falkirk’s promotion push last season and Barins boss Peter Houston has spoken of his desire to see Rogers return to the club.
With Neil Alexander and Joe Lewis joining the Aberdeen already, manager Derek McInnes is keen for his young stars to gain valuable game time.
He told the Scottish Sun: “We will loan out the other two keepers.
“When we signed Rogers on his new deal his concern was that if he wasn’t going to be No1 here he would be keen to go back out on loan.
“The decision was made to bring in someone with more experience while at the same time we can allow Rogers to keep developing.
“He and Lennox will stay with us for the pre-season work at St Andrews but we have loans in mind with clubs that will allow them to continue their development.”
