Dons boss Derek McInnes could be set to raid his former club Bristol City to secure a loan move for one of Wales’ most promising young stars.
Wes Burns, who scored five goals in 14 appearances on loan for League One side Fleetwood Town last season, made his way into Chris Coleman’s preliminary squad for the European Championships and is rated as a top prospect.
Burns, 21, travelled to Portugal to train alongside the likes of Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen and reports suggest he only narrowly missed out on making the final squad.
The youngster would add yet another attacking option for Derek McInnes who has recently hailed his depth up front as potentially the key ingredient for firing the Dons into the Europa League group stages this season.
