A trip to either Slovenia or Bulgaria awaits Aberdeen in the third qualifying round of the Europa League if they progress next week.
The draw was made by Uefa today and the Dons, who lead Ventspils 3-0 in the first leg, will face either Maribor or Levski Sofia in the third round if they come through the second leg in Latvia next week.
Aberdeen have been drawn at home in the first leg, which is due to be played on July 28 with the second leg scheduled for a week later on August 4.
The tie between Maribor and Sofia is delicately poised after the clubs shared a goalless draw in the first leg in Slovenia.
Maribor finished second in the Slovenian Premier League last season while Levski Sofia were also runners-up in the BUlgarian top flight.
