Paul McManus has left Cove Rangers to sign for Brechin City.
The experienced striker, part of the club’s promotion-winning side this year, has opted to return to Glebe Park for a second spell.
He spent the 2011-12 with Brechin under former Elgin City boss Jim Weir, scoring 16 goals in 33 appearances. He rejoins the Angus side following their back-to back relegations to League 2.
McManus will come up against Cove again this season, after they made it to the SPFL for the first time. Fixtures for the new campaign will be released tomorrow morning.
The 36-year-old, who joined Cove in 2017, has also had four spells for East Fife, while also turning out for Arbroath, Forfar Athletic, Raith Rovers and Albion Rovers. He scored the third and final goal for Cove in the away leg of their play-off victory over Berwick Rangers.
