Cove Rangers have signed forward John Robertson on a season-long loan from St Johnstone.
The 17-year-old, who made his first-team debut in April 2018, goes straight into the squad for the League 2 opener against Edinburgh City on Saturday.
He becomes Paul Hartley’s fifth summer signing after Nathan Mears, Daniel Higgins, Declan Glass and Chris Antoniazzi.
Hartley said: “I would like to thank St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright for allowing John to join us on loan.
“He just signed a new contract with St Johnstone and is a player who is highly thought of by them so I’m really looking forward to working with him.
“John is a goal scorer who will give us extra competition up front, particularly on the left side. I’m sure he will do well for us and that the spell with Cove Rangers will also help John develop as a player.”
