Darryn Kelly has been transfer-listed by Cove Rangers after asking to leave the club.
The defender, who signed for Cove in 2014 for Culter, has struggled for regular football this season under Paul Hartley.
Daniel Higgins’ arrival at centre-half and Blair Yule’s deployment at right-back has meant he is yet to play a league game this season. His four appearances have been split between the Betfred Cup and Tunnock’s Cup.
Hartley said: “We have reluctantly agreed to a transfer request from Darryn. We would rather have kept him because he is a talented player who we saw as an important part of our squad, but we have to respect Darryn’s wishes.”
Kelly was a regular in the side that won promotion to League 2 last season and won three Highland League titles under previous manager John Sheran.
