Martin Scott has left Cove Rangers for fellow League 2 side Brechin City.
Scott, who joined the club at the end of last season for their promotion to the SPFL, swaps the league’s top side for the bottom club until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old made 24 appearances for Cove this season, scoring four times, but has started in less than half of those games.
Rory McAllister has also joined this month from Peterhead to partner Mitch Meggison, with the former Ross County and Hibernian man allowed to leave the Balmoral Stadium.
Manager Paul Hartley said: “Jimmy is a model professional and I would like to thank him for his efforts while he was with us.
“He had expressed a wish to seek a new club in the hope of getting more regular first team football and we have respected that.
“I would like to wish Jimmy all the very best for the future and know that Brechin are going to benefit from having him at Glebe Park.”
