Peterhead and Elgin City will both have a break from League 2 action this weekend after their matches were among 10 SPFL games postponed yesterday.
The Blue Toon were due to host Stenhousemuir at Balmoor tomorrow, while Elgin’s away trip to Clyde also fell victim to the weather. No rescheduled dates have been set as yet.
The early decisions were taken yesterday with both pitches covered in snow, which had also made its way to one of the stands at Broadwood.
Tonight’s Championship fixture between Dundee United and St Mirren was the first to fall by the wayside, which was quickly followed by another top-of-the-table encounter between Dunfermline and Livingston.
The Premiership match between St Johnstone and Hamilton Accies at Perth was also postponed, while the League 1 encounters between Airdrieonians and Stranraer, and Albion Rovers and Queen’s Park, were also called off.
In addition to Peterhead and Elgin’s call-offs, the League 2 matches between Stirling Albion and Berwick Rangers, and Edinburgh City versus Cowdenbeath, were postponed.
Further assessments are likely to be made this morning on the six remaining SPFL matches, as well as the four Scottish Cup quarter-final ties.
