Midfielder Rory MacEwan has signed a two-year contract extension hot on the heels of making his 100th appearance for the Moray club.
The 24-year-old local player has played 36 times this season for City, who are seeking to finish a disappointing League 2 campaign on a high note.
MacEwan signed for Gavin Price’s side from Stirling University in 2019 and one of his two goals this season came in the televised Scottish Cup tie at Clydebank, which City lost in a replay.
Elgin, who are ninth in the division, travel to Stirling Albion this weekend ahead of final fixtures against Cowdenbeath and Stranraer.
The Black and Whites need one more point to ensure Cowden remain bottom of the table to avoid a relegation play-off.
