League 2 high-risers Elgin City have gained a massive boost with boss Gavin Price and his management team signing contract extensions until the summer of 2025.
The Moray club, whose form has taken them to the edge of the top four ahead of their weekend trip to East Fife, are shaping up for the future and a fresh tilt at promotion.
Price, assistant Jim Weir, first-team coach Charlie Charlesworth, goalkeeping coach Stevie Dunn and Gordon Dunn, sports analyst, have agreed new contracts.
Price has just become City’s longest-serving manager in the club’s 22 years within the Scottish league.
The 48-year-old former Jeanfield Swifts boss replaced Weir in the Elgin hot-seat eight years ago and sees his longer-term future with the Black and Whites.
He said: “I am delighted to extend my contract at Elgin City.

“After eight years, I clearly feel very home at the club. This is for a reason, and down to strong relationships I enjoy with the board of directors, staff and the Elgin community.
“The backing I have received from each during this time, through good times and bad, has been second to none.
“Jim, Stevie, Charlie and Gordon have also agreed to extend their contracts. This is massively important to me.
“The work they do, alongside other members of the backroom staff, is vitally important to our progression.
“We have a group of players at the club who I believe are as strong as at anytime we have had.
“With everyone’s continued support, I am confident as a football team, and as a club, we can progress to the next level.”
Moray club focused on development
City director Isla Benzie says the club can now press forward with added confidence now their key management team have pledged their futures to Elgin for the next few years.
She said: “Everyone on the board is delighted we have managed to agree deals keeping Gavin, Jim and Stevie here until 2025.
“Having this certainty in place allows us to continue to focus on our development and growth in the next 24 months.
“At all times, we are thinking about our improvement, and we are now able to move forward with our plan in the knowledge that we have retained a manager and his team who are determined to deliver.”
