Highland League clubs are competing for Elgin City attacker Shane Sutherland.
The 24-year-old former Caley Thistle forward scored 12 goals for the Black and Whites last season and manager Jim Weir may struggle to keep the player at Borough Briggs.
With Sutherland also holding out hope of returning to full-time football Weir fears his hopes of keeping Sutherland at the club for a third year are diminishing.
SPFL play-off finalists Brora Rangers and Nairn County are among those who have been linked with the former Wick player and Weir said: “We face a struggle on two fronts to keep Shane. He fancies giving full time football another go and if he is given an offer to do that he will take it.
“A number of Highland League clubs are also courting Shane and offering him silly money to sign. We will keep talking to him and see what we can do.”
