Elgin City manager Jim Weir is still on the lookout for new players despite bringing in a hat-trick of loan signings from St Johnstone.
Goalkeeper Mark Hurst, defender Liam Gordon and attacker George Hurst have all agreed to play for the Borough Briggs side next season on loan from the Perth men but Weir still wants to add more players.
Weir said: “Despite getting some new faces in, we are still very light in terms of numbers.
“I am keen to add a couple more at least and hopefully I can do that before the serious stuff starts this weekend.”
Peterhead manager Jim McInally has completed the loan move of St Johnstone defender Ally Gilchrist to fill the gap caused by Ross Smith’s move to Stirling Albion.
The 20-year-old central defender played at Elgin City last season on a similar basis and McInally heard enough good reports to bring Gilchrist to the Blue Toon for the season.
McInally said: “With Ross going to Stirling I had been looking to bolster our defence. “Ally did well last season and I look forward to working with him during this campaign.”
