Celtic have taken Chelsea defender Kyle Jameson on trial ahead of a possible loan switch.
The 18-year-old would be available for a temporary move, possibly lasting a full season, following an injury to Dedryck Boyata.
The Belgian has been ruled out for three months and Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is understood to be keen on strengthening his options.
6ft 3in Jameson will train with the Celtic first team during the fortnights trial at Parkhead.
Rodgers will cast his eye over the youngster after finalising a £4.5m move for Manchester City playmaker Olivier Ntcham.
The 21-year-old Frenchman last night posted a picture of green traffic lights on Instagram and said: “Once you see the green light then you can go. In the starting block.”
