Aberdeen’s under-11 side came face to face with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola during their participation in the Manchester City International Cup tournament at the weekend.
The young Dons competed at the Etihad Campus in an eight-team tournament along with Chelsea, Juventus, Girona, Feyenoord, Shamrock Rovers, Wigan and host club Manchester City.

The Dons lost 1-0 to Chelsea, 1-0 to City and drew 1-1 with Wigan before beating Girona of Italy 2-1. Following their first win of the tournament Guardiola met the youngsters to congratulate them on their victory and returned to watch the young Dons face Dutch side Feyenoord.

The Dons rounded off the tournament with 3-1 defeats to Feyenoord and Juventus and a 1-0 loss to Chelsea in the quarter-final. Hosts City beat Chelsea to win the tournament.
