In a rather unexpected transfer deadline day twist, Chelsea have been linked with a move for a former Aberdeen defender.
HITC report that the Stamford Bridge giants and Crystal Palace are both looking to sign Reading defender Michael Hector.
Hector spent the first half of the 2013/14 season on loan at Pittodrie from Reading and has since gone on to become a key player at the English Championship side.
Palace and Chelsea are reported to be considering £4 million bids for the 23-year-old who made 20 appearances for the Dons.
