Manchester City youngster George Glendon has joined Rangers on trial.
The 20-year-old is the son of former City midfielder Kevin Glendon and has spent time training with the Gers first team in a bid to impress boss Mark Warburton.
Glendon could become the fourth English Premier League player to move to Warburton’s Rangers on loan following the signings of Arsenal midfielder Gideon Zelalem and Tottenham duo Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball.
City describe Glendon as “a diminutive, deceptively strong midfielder, capable of weighing in with vital goals” and although he has yet to make his Premier League debut he was named on the bench for last season’s Champions League tie with Bayern Munich.
Glendon has captained City’s Under-21 team but it is believed bosses at the Etihad would now like to see the youngster further his development with a loan spell.
