Celtic have confirmed the signing of Manchester City youngster Patrick Roberts on an 18-month loan deal.
The highly rated 18-year-old joined City from Fulham for £11million last summer but has only made three first team appearances this season and manager Manuel Pellegrini was keen for him to move out on loan to gain experience.
The England youth international was in the crowd at Hampden yesterday as Celtic were knocked out of the League Cup by Ross County.
Roberts is the Hoops’ second signing of the window following the £1.5million capture of defender Erik Sviatchenko from FC Midtjylland.
