Formartine United manager Kris Hunter insists his players are still in Highland League title contention after overturning a 2-0 deficit at Deveronvale on Wednesday to win 3-2.
The victory at Banff took Formartine to within six points of leaders Brora and Hunter is looking for another three points when Keith visit North Lodge today.
He said: “I have been in the game long enough to know that Buckie’s after-match celebrations when they beat us 3-1 last Saturday were a bit premature.
“I have always said there is still a long way to go. There are a lot of hard teams in this league, irrespective of their position in the table.
“We showed great character to come back from 2-0 down at Vale. It was something I was looking for from my players and I got it in abundance, with Conor Gethins coming off the bench to score the winner with a great finish.
United face a stern test from the Maroons, who beat title challengers Buckie 3-2 on Wednesday.
