A late Daniel MacLennan double secured Clachnacuddin a hard-earned derby victory at Seafield Park, Grantown.
Clach manager Iain Polworth said: “We deserved to win the game, we played really well in the first half when we missed a few chances and we let them back into it when we conceded a soft goal. We were a bit nervous when we went down to 10 men early in the second half after Jamie Beeston’s silly two yellow cards, but then Daniel’s became our leading scorer with his double.”
Jags’ manager Grant said: “MacLennan was the difference between the sides, he’s a very good player and a big strong lad. There really wasn’t much in it but when they went down to 10 men midway through the second half they actually played better, while we went to bits.”
Ryan Mackintosh put Clach ahead in the 14th minute with a looping header, six minutes later David McGurk made it 2-0 before Richard Finnis pulled one back in the 26th minute.
Teenage Clach midfielder Beeston picked up two yellow cards before a well-taken double from MacLennan, in the 78th and 90th minutes, secured the points.
