Inverurie Loco Works FC are delighted to confirm that their new First Team Manager is Neil Cooper.
The former Aberdeen FC man, with six seasons as a player in the seventies, and nearly two decades at Pittodrie across two spells as a Coach involved with the First Team & also the U18s/U20s & U21s, will take charge of the Locos for the first time in their Press & Journal SHFL match against Brora Rangers at Harlaw Park on Saturday January 7th.
Cooper also played for Barnsley & Grimsby Town, before six season at St Mirren where he was part of the 1987 Scottish Cup winning side & played in Europe.
Neil then played for Hibernian for two seasons, again representing the club in European competition.
Welcoming the new man at the Harlaw Park helm, Chairman Eddie Innes commented: “We are all absolutely ecstatic to bring a person of Neil’s calibre to the football club. Neil presented superbly at interview & we are really excited to be starting this new chapter for Inverurie Locos”.
