Strathspey Thistle goalkeeper Michael MacCallum has signed a one-year contract extension.
The former Brora Rangers number one shone in Saturday’s unexpected 1-1 draw against champions Cove Rangers at Seafield Park in Grantown, saving a Mitch Megginson penalty in a man of the match performance.
MacCallum said: “The banter among the players is always good and we enjoy each other’s company so I am delighted to have signed a new deal, hopefully more players will follow my example and we can strengthen the squad in the summer.”
MacCallum was inspirational against Cove and added: “We did really well to get a draw against the champions, we showed a lot of spirit in the second half and got the point we deserved.”
Assistant-manager Rab Simpson said: “It is great that Michael has signed, he’s a big part of our club.”
