Brora Rangers have signed Caley Thistle’s 19-year-old midfielder Blair MacLennan on a development loan until the end of the season.
Brora manager Ross Tokely said: “This type of signing means Blair can still play for Caley Thistle’s under-20 side, but can also play for us on a Saturday, a similar situation to our goalkeeper Ross Munro who is on-loan from Ross County. This is a new type of contract the SFA introduced at the start of the season.
“Blair played 45 minutes for us in a friendly against Caley Thistle last Tuesday night. He did well so we have signed him up until the end of the season.
“With Gavin Morrison out and Dale Gillespie just coming back from injury, bringing in Blair gives us a bit of bite in midfield as he’s a similar type of player to Gavin. He showed up really well in that friendly last week, I was a couple of players short for the bench that night so I drafted him in and he came on in the second half.
“I had a chat with Richie Foran last Tuesday. Caley Thistle rate Blair highly, and I appreciate all their help.”
