Buckie Thistle can return to the top of the Press and Journal Highland League table tomorrow with a win against Wick Academy at Harmsworth Park.
Buckie forward Drew Copeland is ready for the challenge and said: “Wick are very good team so we’ll certainly won’t be taking anything for granted.
“We will leave Aberdeen at 8am so it’s a long day and, despite the conditions, we know a win will take us back to the top of the table and that’s all the incentive we need.”
Academy manager Gordon Connelly said: “We have Marc McGregor and Andrew Hardwick returning to the squad.
“It’s a game we are all looking forward to, although I can’t see it being a classic due to the conditions we have been playing under at home of late.
“Hopefully, the game will bring the best out of our players.”
Fort William face Rothes in a basement match at Claggan Park.
Fort’s leading scorer Scott Davidson has failed to recover from injury and will miss out.
Farquhar MacRae and Jack Lingard are on holiday, while midfielder Barna Tot is working.
Attacker Michael Ellis is expected to return along with goalkeeper Douglas MacLennan. A win for Rothes would take them level on points with Deveronvale, who occupy 15th place in the table.
Strathspey Thistle and Fraserburgh meet at Seafield Park and the Broch add new signing, 19-year-old former Ross County and Buchanhaven Hearts goalkeeper Peter Tait, son of former Peterhead number one Scott Tait, to the travelling squad.
Midfielder Jamie Beagrie is working offshore.
