Cove Rangers manager John Sheran felt his side had done enough to take all three points against Turriff on Saturday.
Sheran said: “It was a great game of football and credit to Turriff as they came and attacked us right from the off, playing a 4-3-3 formation.
“We thought they would come and have a go. If you look at the chances created in the game we felt we did enough to get something but I can understand why they were happy with a draw.
“Kevin Main showed why he’s one of the best goalkeepers in the league. His handling was immaculate but they probably also got the rub of the green today with balls being cleared off the line and us hitting the bar a couple of times.”
Reflecting on the recent ups and downs in the race for the Highland League title, Sheran added: “The league season lasts 34 games, so who knows what’s going to happen. No one expected Buckie to be beaten 1-0 at Huntly last weekend and we weren’t expected to drop points today, although we were playing one of the top sides in the league.
“We know when we play Turriff United at the Haughs soon it’s going to be another hard game.”
