Buckie Thistle have signed 23-year-old former Ross County and Elgin City forward Steven Ross from Brora Rangers on a 12-month contract.
Ross joins former Buckie Rovers defender Ross Elder and 19-year-old former Montrose attacker Declan Milne, who was on-loan to the Victoria Park club last term, in signing for the new season.
Buckie manager Graeme Stewart said: “I’m delighted to have signed Brora’s leading scorer, recruiting an attacker and a centre half was our priority and Steven is a quality player who will improve us.
“He didn’t play every week for Brora, manager Ross Tokely appears to have preferred others, but Steven always seemed to do well against us. I also knew his back-ground from his days at Ross County and Elgin.”
Despite scoring 24 goals last season Ross was unable to secure a regular start towards the end of last season, similar to last season’s Highland League leading scorer John McLeod, who seldom found a place in the starting line-up when he played for the Sutherland club prior to his move to Buckie last summer.
