A Highland League club has advanced to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup for the first time in its history this afternoon.
Brora Rangers defeated League One side East Fife 1-0 away to reach the final 16, with a Colin Williamson header in the 12th minute proving decisive.
The Fifers threatened throughout the game, but Brora managed to maintain their record of never conceding a goal in the competition this season.
Other Press and Journal Highland League clubs entering the draw for the fifth round are Formartine, Cove Rangers and Fraserburgh FC – who each had their games postponed today due to freezing weather.
Formartine will play Cove on the evening of Wednesday, January 31, for a place in the next round.
The Brochers will have to get past Rangers that night to join their Highland League stablemates in the competition’s latter stages.
