They may have lost their 16-month unbeaten run in the league, but there was still plenty of reason to celebrate for Cove Rangers last night.
A 32nd minute Stuart Soane strike gave Forres Mechanics a 1-0 win and ended Cove’s proud record but with the title already wrapped up after a stellar season, the champions had made a raft of changes to preserve energy ahead of the pyramid play-offs.
