Banks o’ Dee have written to the Highland League to confirm they do not wish to join the division next season.
The Highland League were due to discuss the possibility of the Spain Park side, who won this season’s North Superleague, replacing Cove Rangers at Monday’s AGM.
Cove won promotion to League 2 after defeating Berwick Rangers 7-0 on aggregate in the SPFL pyramid play-off final.
But Highland League secretary Rod Houston has confirmed Banks o’ Dee have written to them to confirm they do not wish to join the division.
The Highland League will discuss three other possibilities at Monday’s AGM.
They will consider the inclusion of a Caley Thistle Colts side, continuing with 17 teams or taking a year to invite applications to join the league.
