Eric Watson has been cited for violent conduct after an alleged headbutt in Inverurie Locos’ Scottish Cup tie with Wick Academy.
Watson was flagged by the Scottish FA for the clash with Academy’s David Allan in Saturday’s second round fixture.
The incident, which was missed by the match officials, occurred in the build-up to Locos’ opening goal, with Chris Angus netting the first of his treble as Neil Cooper’s side came from 2-0 down to advance to the second round.
Watson has a fast track tribunal hearing on Thursday. The former Cove Rangers skipper moved to Harlaw Park in the summer on the back of sealing promotion to League 2 for the first time.
Locos were drawn against Rothes in the second round on Sunday.
