Former Caledonian president Hugh Crout has died at the age of 89.
Crout served in his role with the Telford Street club during one of the most successful spells of its history, overseeing a trophy-laden period under manager Alex Main between 1973 and 1983.
Prior to taking up the presidency, Crout served on the committee and also took up the role of vice-president, as well as supervising the club’s reserve team.
Aside from Caley’s on-field success, Crout also guided the club through the launch and early years of the Caledonian Social Club on Greig Street.
