Brora Rangers caused a Scottish Cup surprise by holding Championship side Morton to a 1-1 draw at Cappielow.
The Highland League-leaders went into a shock lead through Dale Gillespie, who buried his penalty, with Bob McHugh levelling from 12 yards on the stroke of half-time.
Pressure came from the Ton in the second half but Brora weathered the storm, earning one of the surprise results of the round.
The two sides will now replay at Dudgeon Park on Tuesday week, for a place in the fourth round..
Brora made two changes from the 7-0 win over Turriff United, with Gillespie and Greg Morrison in for Bjorn Wagenaar and the cup-tied Andrew Macrae.
After a couple of half-chances for Brora, one coming from a Colin Williamson header, Morton missed a glorious opportunity to open the scoring 10 minutes in with Bob McHugh’s left-wing cross turned wide by Cameron Salkeld from six yards.
Full-back Ally Macdonald was making ground down the left-hand side and delivered a dipping near-post cross, that the Morton defence had to clear quickly with Tom Kelly ready to pounce.
The visitors had been composed and disciplined in the opening half-hour, before deservedly taking the lead.
Martin Maclean robbed Jim McAlister in the middle of the park and broke, eventually releasing Kelly on the overlap. His near-post shot was beaten away by Rogers but when Maclean went for the rebound Peter Grant bumped him to the floor.
Referee Craig Napier had little hesitation in awarding the penalty and Gillespie did not disappoint, sending Rogers the wrong way to put Brora into the lead.
Ton upped the anté before the break and felt they had levelled when Ally Macdonald turned Billy King’s cross against his own bar, but the ball was ruled not to have crossed the line.
However, in the ensuing penalty-box chaos, Jim McAlister’s snap-shot was blocked by Colin Williamson’s arm, with Napier again awarding a penalty. Joe Malin went the right way but McHugh’s effort beat him into the corner.
After a quiet 15 minutes to start the second period, the hosts came close twice in the space of a minute. Substitute Aidan Nesbitt had a speculative effort superbly tipped over by Malin and from the resulting corner, Kelly kicked Grant’s header off the line.
McHugh miscued a glorious chance to win it in the closing stages while replacement Paul Brindle skied at the opposite end, as the two sides were made to do it all again in 10 days.
