A determination to see through the task of rebuilding Nairn County was behind manager Ronnie Sharp’s decision to sign a new two-year deal.
Sharp, along with assistant Michael Rae and coach Mark Greig, signed new contracts earlier this week which will keep them at Station Park until 2022.
Skipper Adam Porritt has also committed to a further two years at the club.
Sharp returned for a second spell as County manager during a summer of upheaval in 2016, in which the club’s future was left in doubt following the withdrawal of financial backing from the Mackintosh family.
That was compounded by the departure of previous boss Les Fridge and the bulk of the first-team squad.
The immediate task facing Sharp was to achieve stability, and he is eager to continue the strides made by the club.
Sharp, whose side sit seventh in the Highland League, said: “When we first came in it was about keeping the club afloat and keeping a team on the park.
“The main thing was getting in players that wanted to play for Nairn, that was the key element of the whole thing.
“We have been building it since then, getting one or two players in every year.
“We have got some good players now, and a lot of them have committed to staying with us.”
Sharp takes particular pride in the success of Nairn’s young players, who he feels have blossomed as a result of being handed their opportunity.
Sharp added: “We have put a bit of effort into getting the youth setup up and running again, between the three coaches we take a real interest in what’s going on below the first team.
“At first it was through necessity as we just had to get a team on the park, but they have had good experience now.”
