Brora Rangers made it an eight successive league wins as they ran out 4-0 winners at Huntly.
The Cattachs, who are now five points clear at the top of the league, never looked back after netting three goals in a 15-minute spell in the first half.
Assistant manager Craig Campbell said: “It’s not always going to come easy for us with goals early on, so we emphasised to the players how hard they had to work from the start.
“Huntly battled well but the goals from James Wallace and Martin MacLean settled us down.
“We’ve got a lot of quality in the final third and our play over the last few weeks has been good to watch.
“The second half was frustrating. We were a bit sloppy, so it was pleasing to get the final goal from Jordan.”
Brora broke the deadlock in the 29th minute when Tom Kelly’s cross was met by Andrew Macrae to fire in his 15th of the season.
With just over two minutes of the half remaining, James Wallace got in behind the home defence to net his first goal in five games before Martin MacLean increased the deficit with a low drive on the stroke of half-time.
Huntly looked an improved side in the second half with Declan Milne going close before Nathan Meres saw an effort blocked and Ross Still was denied by a fine Joe Malin save on the rebound.
Malin kept out Still’s deflected shot in the 73rd minute while a minute later, at the other end, a Wallace shot struck the post.
Brora wrapped up the scoring with 11 minutes left when top scorer Jordan Macrae ran on to a Bjorn Wagenaar pass before firing in off the near post.
Huntly manager Martin Skinner was disappointed by what he described as “a show of disrespect” from the opposition.
He said: “I thought they were quite disrespectful playing loud music and making a lot of noise at half-time, it hurt us and our players didn’t like it.
“Brora are a good side but fair play to our players, our attitude was good after the break.”
