Rothes ultras have grown in number this season – and have recruited their youngest member.
Theo Macleod, son of Rothes defender Paul, was among the supporters during their 3-2 win over Keith last weekend, stood in front of a banner bearing his father’s name.
Paul said the seven-year-old could not stop talking about his match-day experience on the way home and praised the impact the young fans have had on the atmosphere at Rothes games.
He said: “They had my boy in there on the microphone and he couldn’t stop speaking about it. They had a sign saying ‘super Paul Macleod’ and he ran up and stood by it. All the boys were getting photos with him and he was in his element. He had a great day out and will be a regular in there now.
“It gives the players an extra boost and we talk about it before the game. You’re coming out into a good atmosphere and it’s much appreciated by the players.
Thank you for the banner today lads and looking after my boy during the game he had a great day he’s still buzzing! 🧡🖤 pic.twitter.com/XUXnF4bUiz

“The local community have got together and it’s all local boys watching the team. It seems to be getting more and more each week. It’s definitely been a lot better football for them to watch.”
