Brora Rangers have been handed a boost in the build-up to their crucial Highland League match at Fraserburgh this weekend after vice-captain Ally Macdonald signed a new two-year deal with the club.
The left-back is the fourth player to commit his future to the league leaders after joining Martin Maclean, Dale Gillespie and Colin Williamson in signing new two-year extensions this month,
Delighted Brora player-boss Steven Mackay said: “Ally is an integral part of our squad, both on and off the park, so we are delighted that he has agreed to sign for another two years.
“He is our vice-captain and a hugely influential player so it was very important for our progression that we retained him.”
Brora can take a huge step towards securing their third Highland League title in seven years if they beat the Broch.
The Cattachs are 11 points clear at the top of the table with four points remaining and 17 clear of fourth-placed Fraserburgh but Mark Cowie’s side have played four games fewer than the runaway league leaders.
