The Breedon Highland League was on hold over the weekend due to the Scottish Cup – but that hasn’t stopped Highland League Weekly!
This week’s show features an in-depth discussion of all the first round ties featuring Highland League teams, while we also visit the Haughs to chat to Turriff United midfielder Scott Whelan about his remarkable return to football.
During Organ Donation Week, Whelan tells us about a shock kidney failure diagnosis while playing in the United States, which saw him return home and receive a kidney transplant from his mum in a bid to save his life. Determined Whelan has returned to Breedon Highland League action this term with Turra – and tells us all about his incredible journey.
Finally, in the absence of Big Game action this week, there’s a chance to vote for your goal of Highland League season so far. Watch the range of goals featured – then select your favourite below!
