Fraserburgh manager Kris Hunter is confident that his full-strength side can repeat Deveronvale’s feat of last season by defeating East junior outfit Linlithgow Rose in their Scottish Cup replay in West Lothian today.
After a 2-2 draw at Banff in last season’s second round, Vale upset the four-times Junior Cup-winning side 3-1.
Hunter said: “After our draw the tie is still wide open and all the pressure is now on them as the home team. Anyone who knows the history of the Broch will know just how good a cup team we are so they can’t take us lightly.
“If they underestimate us they do so at their peril as I will definitely get 100% out of my players.
“We need to recapture the type of form we showed in being the only side to beat champions Brora last season.”
