This week’s Highland League Weekly features highlights from Fraserburgh FC v Forres Mechanics and Clachnacuddin v Buckie Thistle as the Breedon Highland League title race went down to the wire.
It all came down to the last day on Saturday – and we had cameras at both a packed-to-the-rafters Bellslea Park, Fraserburgh, and Grant Street Park, Inverness, for the two games which mattered most.
The front-running Broch knew a point at home against Forres would be enough to seal a first Highland League championship since 2002 (and a shot at the promotion play-offs), but – if they lost – the door would be open to Buckie to land a dramatic league crown, subject to goal difference.
Tonight’s final regular show until next season – packed with exclusive highlights, champagne-laden celebrations, reaction and analysis – also includes a chat with new Formartine United boss Stuart Anderson about his hopes for the Pitmedden outfit going forward.
