With eight of today’s nine Highland League ties postponed due to the weather, all eyes were on Grant Park where 10-man Cove Rangers beat Lossiemouth.
Cove were reduced to 10 men after 20 minutes when goalkeeper Murray Kinnaird was sent off, however, despite needing to play the remainder of the game with defender Eric Watson in goal, they did not let that hold them back.
The 10 men of Cove held Lossiemouth at 0-0 until half time and then displayed their class in the second period, netting two goals without response.
Jamie McAllister headed home the opening goal, while in stoppage time Daryl Nicol cut the ball back to Jamie Watt who swept home to secure the win.
