Five Fraserburgh players have signed contract extensions ahead of tomorrow’s Scottish Cup third round tie with Arbroath.
Captain Willie West, Paul Young, Ryan Cowie and Zane Laird have penned deals until the summer of 2025, while Scott Barbour has signed on until the summer of 2028.
With the exception of Cowie who’s injured, all are likely to feature at Bellslea tomorrow when the Broch try to take the scalp of Championship Arbroath.
Skipper West’s new contract will take him past 20 years of service to the Buchan side having made his debut 19 years ago this week.
The 34-year-old sits third in Fraserburgh’s appearance list having played 620 games, he has also netted 164 goals.

Midfielder Young joined from Turriff United in 2017 and is nearing 200 appearances for the Breedon Highland League champions.
Defender Cowie also joined from Turriff (in 2012) and has played more than 300 games, while youngster Laird has joined the first-team squad this term.
Barbour is Fraserburgh’s second highest scorer with 219 goals, trailing Michael Stephen by 18.
The current Breedon Highland League player of the year returned to the club in 2018 after three years with Formartine United.
