Fraserburgh beat Clach in a six-goal Bellslea thriller, with Peter-Alexander Bruce scoring a hat-trick.
Fraserburgh manager Kris Hunter said: “The fans certainly got their money’s worth – that was one of the hardest games we’ve had at Bellslea this season. The turning point was Scott Cowe’s tremendous penalty save as we went straight back up the park and made it 3-2.
“But we were never really comfortable until the last 10 minutes, just after Peter-Alexander Bruce had completed his hat-trick.”
Clach manager Iain Polworth said: “We went cavalier when they went 3-2 ahead and got caught out, but a 4-2 scoreline certainly isn’t a fair reflection on the game as it really could have gone either way.”
The visitors opened the scoring with Scott Davidson’s delightful 26th minute lob, but Fraserburgh equalised eight minutes later when Bruce turned in Ryan Cowie’s cross.
Michael Finnis’ spot kick two minutes after the break restored Clach’s advantage, but Ryan Christie grabbed a 72nd-minute leveller.
Finnis’ second penalty of the afternoon was saved by Cowe and the home side took full advantage as Bruce completed his hat-trick with strikes in the 78th and 80th minutes.
