Fraserburgh manager Kris Hunter has agreed to take charge of Highland League rivals Formartine United.
United chairman Atholl Cadger sacked former Dons and Caley Thistle manager Steve Paterson two weeks ago and quickly identified Hunter as the man for the job.
Hunter said goodbye to his Fraserburgh players on Saturday after the match at Fort William was postponed due toa waterlogged pitch and after a meeting with Broch chairman Finlay Noble will move to North Lodge Park once compensation is settled.
Hunter said: “I spoke to Fraserburgh chairman Finlay Noble, that was very difficult, but I told him I would be going to Formartine.
“He has been a great chairman to me, and is a man I have the utmost respect for.
“The chance to manage Formartine is right for me at this time. It is a massive challenge although I was a bit surprised I was a candidate for such a high-profile job.
“Formartine has a chairman who will back me to the hilt, that was one of the main reasons I decided to accept the job.
“I want to win trophies and I really do believe we will have a great chance to challenge for the league title.”
