Clachnacuddin broke through the 40-point barrier with a hard-fought win against Turriff United at Grant Street.
Late goals in each half – from Iain Penwright and substitute Fraser Robertson – saw off the Haughs men, who were made to pay for not taking the second-half chances which came their way.
Turriff were missing Nick Gray, Aaron McKenna and Paul Young and the game started in scrappy fashion with neither side able to deliver a decent final ball.
Turriff had the ball in the net in the 24th minute when Artjoms Kuznecovs headed home from an Andrew MacAskill free kick, but he was flagged offside and the goal ruled out.
Clach went in front seven minutes before the break when Blair Lawrie broke down the right flank and crossed for Ian Penwright to score from the edge of the box, giving the home side a half-time lead.
Turriff started the second half on the front foot and went close on a couple of occasions through front men James Beagrie and Gary McGowan.
The visitors were made to pay for those missed chances in the closing seconds when Clach scored a decisive second goal.
A defensive slip allowed substitute Fraser Robertson in and he finished with aplomb into the bottom corner of the net.
